Touch Yourself.
During this time of social distancing so many of us are touch deprived and miss hugs, cuddles and other forms of touch. Self-touch is a powerful practice to care for yourself and feel whole in your own body. It can be a profound act of self-love when consciously done. It supports healing, self-regulation, a sense of ownership of one’s body and increase the capacity for pleasure. Self-touch is a wonderful resource to make contact with parts of yourself that you quite literally may be out of touch with. Below is a detailed class description.
What am I signing up for?
Arrive Prepared
We can only receive loving touch when we feel safe. We ask that you practice in a space that allows for privacy and comfort. We encourage you to create a sacred space by lighting a candle, or burning some incense, or choosing a spot in the sun to let the sun kiss you or choose anything that allows you to connect with your spirit. Wear loose fitting clothes that allow you to take off a layer.
You can do this practice in your bed, on a yoga mat or a carpet. You will need two pillows. The following items are optional: a soft, light blanket and an eye pillow.
Welcome
We request that you turn on your camera for the first 5 minutes as we welcome ourselves and each other to the class. This is done by simply saying your name and how you feel in one word. You will be prompted to turn off your camera once we go into the body practice. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early so we can start on time. You may leave the class at anytime but please announce it in the chat box. You will be giving the option to leave the class after integration when we go into break out rooms to share our experience.
Set an Intention
Intentions are powerful because we align our will with what we wish to make real. Our intention is to heal the split between body and spirit. We will make space for you to set your own intention. Three participants will be invited to share their intention out loud for everyone to hear, everyone else may speak it while muted or write it in the chat box. Also one person will be invited to speak a prayer to invite the divine within each of us to help us receive the full benefits of the practice. You may keep a journal where you record your intentions as well as notes about your body practice. Your body and breathing will change over time. This allows you to reflect upon your progress.
Your Inner Child is invited too!
In the session you will be prompted to call in, hold and touch your inner child and give them a good mother or good father message. Please choose one or two from the one’s below or create your own one. Something you always wanted to hear from your parents or care takers.

Body Scan
You will be prompted to tune into and scan your whole body, by gently touching a part of your body. Touch your body as if you were a precious instrument like a Stradivarius or a singing bowl made of crystal.
Tuning into your body allows you to attune with yourself and detect energy blockages that prevent you from feeling connected to all parts of your body. Wilhelm Reich developed the theory of armoring and broke it down into 7 segments.

Every segment can either block the energy from flowing or allow it to flow freely connecting each segment to the other. Our goal is to increase the capacity of the body to allow the free flow of energy/life force which restores our sense of wellbeing and enhances our sex life. This also allows us to stand up for ourselves, reach out and touch others.
Self Massage
We begin by massaging the scalp and make our way all the way down to our feet. The intention is to open the energy flow in each segment by massaging each part of the body including the chest/breast and groin area. You may explore how you like to touch and be touched. Do you enjoy gentle or firm touch, You are the giver and the receiver of touch and you have the opportunity to tune in and listen to what your body wants and needs. All along we encourage you to breath and give voice to the pain and the pleasure you experience.
Although this massage is not intended to be arousing you might get aroused. If you would like to take it a step further and masturbate you are encouraged to do so after the integration and after sharing once the class has ended and you are by yourself. If you are in a relationship that has lost its spark invite your partner to join you after class and they will be in for a treat!

Once we are in our body we can let it lead us in movement.

Begin with holding up legs and arms and squeeze everything really tight 3 x
Roll your head from side to side

Three part breath (helps receive the touch/open)
Inner Child - Bonding
Call in your child, whisper their name, then take a pillow put it on your chest and let this be your child. Stroke their back, and their hair, notice if he she is comfortable or uncomfortable.
Give them a good mother or good father message.
Then bring them back into your heart where he/she lives, put the pillow aside and bring both hands in the center of your chest and hold them with your hands.
Body Scan
Scan your whole body with your mind and choose a body part that needs your attention and you want to tune in, place your hands and tune in. Maybe you become aware of tension, or a lack of energy or maybe you get some valuable information.
